If you use Google as your search page you probably have seen iGoogle, the Google home page that you can customize yourself.  What I think is very helpful about this tool is that you can use it as central place for all your feeds, bookmarks, news, and many other widgets.  If you work with more than one computer, this is extremely helpful since you can access all your resources through this page.

Using the multiple tab option, you can add a number of widgets that provide information.  I use one tab for all my bookmarks and any new ones I can add there using Google Bookmarks.  I also use another tab for quick access to my calendar.

Although it loads a little slower than just the simple GOOGLE search engine, it’s probably worth the few seconds that keeps you in touch with the rest of the world.  But you can always turn it off.

I am intrigued by television ads and can usually see right through them.  Logitech’s universal remote called Harmony has a nice ad but to me is a contradiction.  The whole idea is that you can use one remote instead of many remotes which will help you and others get things running in no time.  Problem is, you surely have to program the universal remote to get it that way.  Most people I know that have a problem with multiple remotes aren’t going to spend the time to try and program it, they rather figure out the remotes they have and live with it.  And for a $250 remote, you would think that comes with a tech person to set it up for you.  I don’t imagine folks will spend their tax refund on a $250 remote.
